Caribbean Stud Poker

Caribbean Stud Poker game is one of the most popular variations of poker which is based on 5 Card Stud.

How to Play Caribbean Stud Poker

To start Caribbean Stud Poker play, each player has to make an ante bet in a designated square, then each Caribbean Stud Poker player gets five poker cards face down, the same as the dealer. One of the dealers cards is face up, the other four are face down. Players can choose to share information about their own cards' value with each other or they can keep this info to themselves. Each poker player can also raise or fold at this moment. If the player folds, he must give his cards to the dealer, who will collect his ante bet. If the player raises, he puts twice his ante bet in the raise box.

The dealer has to expose his own cards after all poker players have made their plays. If the Caribbean Stud Poker dealer does not qualify with at least an Ace and King present in his hand, then all remaining ante bets pay even money and all raise bets push. If the Caribbean Stud Poker dealer does qualify then each remaining player hand is individually compared against the dealers hand, and the best poker hand wins in each case. In case the dealer has the higher hand, the player loses both ante and raise. In the unlikely event the two hands are equal in value then both ante and raise push. If the poker player has the higher hand the ante pays even money and the raise pays according to payoff table below:

Royal Flush
100 to 1

Straight Flush
50 to 1

Four of a Kind
20 to 1

The hand rankings in Caribbean Stud Poker are pretty much the same as in regular poker.

Each card best poker player who makes a bet wager is responsible for his or her own hand and no one except for the poker dealer may touch the cards of that player.

Each poker player shall be required to keep the five cards in full view of the dealer at all times. Once each player has examined his or her poker cards and placed them face down on the layout, the cards cannot be touched again.
